A new treaty is negotiated between
Rotan and Miris, normalising their relationship and ensuring co-operation
in fighting the blight.

The Lords of Rotan travel to Pirs
and unravel a complex plot involving two rival hives of beholders and Wanwier.
They free Tolmaq and discover that Wanwier has been ensorcelled by some
sort of magical necklace. During the chaos and fierce fighting that takes
place with the beholders, many of the buildings in Pirs are destroyed or
damaged.
Urged on by Joranth’s increasingly
strange behaviour (he keeps having seizures), the Lords travel to Waterloaf,
capital of the halfling/gnome nation. It is under the command of the lizardmen,
but the bulk of the lizard army itself is now moving northwards towards
Béray. Strange creatures have been seen in the city recently, caused
by Gnurr’s aborted attempt to open a magical gate in the local graveyard.
The Lords negotiate with Sslisua,
a lizardman priestess. She agrees to take them safely to the army, provided
they rid Waterloaf of "the dark". Investigating the graveyard in Waterloaf,
the Lords are almost overcome by a powerful apparition. As the last moment,
Joranth finds the cause of the open portal (a pendant) and throws into
the open portal, closing it permanently.
Damalanthas takes one last look into
the closing portal and sees something which drives him insane. Once he
recovers, he is unable to recall what he saw.
In the same graveyard, Damalanthas
finds what appears to be his mother’s grave.

In Rotan, Burr is arrested for attempting
to murder Wanwier.
When the Lords reach Béray,
they meet with ZzerisS (the highdreamer of the lizardmen) and Marques de
Merrin (diplomatic envoy of Queen Allys). The three parties agree not to
act until the Lords have followed the lizard prince to Je-Lorak – the Ruined
City.
In the Ruined City, the Lords encounter
a very strange race of trolls patrolling the city. The trolls are able
to use some sort of magical items and communicate with each other. While
they explore the city, a strange raven leads the Lords to the Throbbing
Harp – a gift to the people of Je-Lorak from Wiobra, god of Death.
An immense battle ensues between
the trolls and the heroes. Joranth is mortally wounded and the Lords fight
hard to draw the trolls away from his body. They retreat to the temple
in the middle of the city.
The avatar of Mundiree, goddess of
the halflings, brings Prince Fen-Reshk’s body to the temple. She explains
that far to the north, the trolls have finally overcome and enslaved the
ogre race. Within a year, the trolls will arrive on this continent and
a Great War will ensue. The only hope for the survival of the people of
these lands is to stand united against the trollish forces. Cha-im wants
Joranth to slay the Lizard Prince, so that a fierce and bloody war will
begin immediately. Mundiree warns that this course of events will lead
to the extinction of the lizardmen and eventually, many of the other races.
Joranth chooses to spare the Lizard
Prince’s life and is struck down by vengeful Cha-im. Earthquakes wrack
the Ruined City and the trolls attack the Lords. Once more, the Lords fight
for their lives as they attempt to drive off the trolls. During the battle,
Euvgeni slays the lizard priestess Ssislua and the lords take the Lizard
Prince captive.
In the aftermath of the battle, Damalanthas
extracts a promise from Mundiree that wherever halflings are welcome, crops
will be bountiful.
Souriin and Euvgeni teleport back
to Waterloaf with Joranth’s body. They initiate a mass migration of halflings
north towards Rotan with Joranth’s body on a bier at the head of the massive
procession. This is part of the drive to resettle halflings throughout
the northern lands.
Thoylin reports that scouts to New
Ivrea claim that the blight there has suddenly vanished.
Owen, Damalanthas, Perrin and Prince
Fen-Reshk meet the lizardmen army travelling in the opposite direction.
They learn that ZzerisS has declared a holy war on Outreach in retaliation
of the slaying of Sslisua, who had been chosen to be the next High Dreamer.
After some terse discussions with Prince Fen-Reshk and ZzerisS, they part
ways with the lizardmen and continue towards Béray.
Euvgeni and Souriin travel to Outreach
to prepare the Council there for the lizardmen invasion.
2705:4:1-10
During a formal meeting with Queen
Allys in Béray, Souriin, Euvgeni and Damalanthas discover that the
Tel have been slaves of the illithids for many generations. The illithid
use the Tel people as breeding stock. Queen Allys also alludes to the mining
of a "deep rock" which may be the source of the mind crystals.

of War" – a meeting of leaders from across the lands to discuss the coming
troll invasion. The Lords begin contacting these leaders and persuading
them to attend.

Hydra slow the lizardmen down through a series of skirmish attacks.
Owen leads a group of warriors into

King Anwell and resigns his Lordship of Rotan and all of his official duties.
The King is extremely upset.
2705:4:11-20
Souriin visits the Eastern Isle
and meets the baku, a strange race of elephant-like psionic creatures.
He learns of a conspiracy between the baku, the Empire and the illithids
to "subvert" the humans living on the mainland. He also discovers that
when the Lords of Rotan last visited the island, the baku placed some sort
of mental block on them, providing them with exceptional resistance to
psionic attacks and possibly also changing their memories of the past.
Owen visits "The Mark" – the site
of Camanthalar’s attempt to remove the Blight. He is not able to determine
much from his visit, but does find a few shards of what was probably the
massive Blight Crystal at the centre of the infected area.
Dagaronzie, a huge green dragon,
attacks some of the Outreach forces. Later, the dragon attacks Outreach
City directly. After failing to handle the wily dragon directly, the Lords
decide to explore other alternatives. Souriin transports the Green and
Brass Dragon Paintings from Rotan to Outreach. He activates the Brass Painting
and speaks to Polish – a brass dragon living to the far south west. Polish
gives him some information about the other dragons, but is really too far
away to be very useful.
Damalanthas returns to Rotan to collect
some more of the dragon paintings but finds Beloni waiting for him. She
agrees to return with the bard to Outreach to confront the green dragon,
but will only leave at dawn.
During an attempt to negotiate a
truce with the lizardmen, Dagaronzie attacks. Damalanthas is felled, but
the attack acts a catalyst to seal the truce. Beloni – who seems to be
have driven almost mad by the sight of the green dragon – pursues Dagaronzie.
Beloni drives Dagaronzie away, but is serious wounded herself.
Later, Beloni summons the Wizard
of the Moon and the Wizard of the Red Orb and declares that the Wizard’s
Circle is broken. Souriin later receives an ominous message from the Moon
Wizard: "your half-brother has passed the tests. Contact me when you feel
ready."
Destiny, a ki-rin, gives Owen a message
to take to Damalanthas. Destiny claims that Camanthalar is still alive.
Tekuna, who has been visiting the
sea elf community beneath the ocean, is washed up on the Pirsian coast.
Her memories of her time with them are somewhat distorted. She remembers
some sort of attack by creatures referred to by the sea elves as "The Enemy".
During the attack she remembers some sort of bright light, and then nothing
more before waking on the beach.
2705:4:21-30
Owen and Tekuna find a passage underneath
the main hall at New Ivrea. They deduce that it is another entrance to
underground lands of the dark elves.
Royalty and leaders from across the
lands arrive in New Ivrea for the Council of War. Many of the attendees
are found to have mind crystals. They are rooted out and removed from the
Council.
After Rue Niam has a vision of her
father (Sepyt) in grave danger, Souriin risks a solo rescue attempt and
manages to save Sepyt, the High Seer of Silfey and Sirrian Jandell from
the creature known as "Grock". The priests have been attempting to harness
the creatiure’s power to help the druid maintain a shield against the trolls.
Illithid attacks on the Manticorum
blades leave Destrith permanently injured. A large group of them is repelled
from New Ivrea.
After receiving a tip-off from Prince
Elryk that he is hiding a mind crystal, Damus and Tekuna confront Lurik
Mien – Rotan’s High Priest of Artafor. He refuses to submit to them and
they attack him. Lurik plays dead and manages to force a three-way confrontation
with the Lords, himself and King Anwell. A bitter argument ensues, but
Lurik is eventually sent back to Rotan. Damus, Tekuna and Euvgeni are each
ordered to pay a fine to the Temple of Artafor for assaulting the Priest.
2705:5:1-10
The participants at the Council
of War spend ten days negotiating a basic treaty outlining future co-operation.
After Helen Du Rant senses a plea
from the thri-kreen Li’kik’r, Damalanthas, Owen and Euvgeni travel to Dragondale
and discover The Hood hiding there. He seems to be almost completely mad
and seems to have been using Li’kik’r as a mental shield, possibly hurting
the strange insect-creature permanently.
The Fool arrives in Dragondale and
reveals himself to be Nesgasp.
2705:5:21
Damus, Owen and Euvgeni attempt
to track down Camanthalar. They explore the lair of a group of cyclopskin
somewhere in Pirs and unlock the secrets of a strange orb. Inside the innermost
layer or the orb are two objects: a planar summoning scroll and
a tuning fork. Damalanthas uses the scroll to summon Camanthalar. The elven
wizard is able to given the heroes some valuable information about the
blight before fading completely.
2705:5:22
The dwarves of Urgari launch an
attack on the dark elves, deep beneath the surface of the land.
Owen, Damalanthas and Euvgeni risk
their lives in an attempt to reconfigure the Soul-crystal. They use the
tuning fork left by Camanthalar to target a teleport spell on the Soul-crystal.
They arrive in a deep underground cavern and find a huge crystal sitting
in a pool of strange-smelling brine. After a frantic battle with the illithid
forces, Owen is able to use his own crystals to deactivate the Soul-crystal.
