It is cast on a circular area, 15 feet in radius, and can be used in one of two ways. When cast on 'destroyed' animated dead, it reanimates the creatures even if their bones are shattered. A maximum of 1HD per two caster levels can be reanimated in this fashion. When used on damaged animated dead, it heals their wounds. This use is more effective and can heal up to 1HD per caster level. Note that the bodies to be reconstituted have to have been animated first (using animate dead for example). If this spell is used on a previously unanimated corpse, the spell freshens the body parts, but does not animate them. The spell cannot be used on any forms of undead not created using an animate dead spell, nor can it be used on constructs. Any creature that has been inanimate for at least a day can no longer be reanimated. The material component of the spell is the body parts to be reconstituted or the creatures to be repaired.
