New Ivrea was founded by Damalanthas Quithas on the first day of the year 2700. Uther Smith of Tellis and Thalakos the Builder both aided the bard significantly during the initial design and development of the city. In 2702:9, Blight appeared at New Ivrea and building efforts had to be put on hold. Three years later, in 2705:3, the Blight suddenly vanished and Damalanthas once again began investing his time and money into developing the city. He hopes to make New Ivrea the capital of the Ivrean basin, and it has already hosted two large gatherings of leaders during the first and second Councils of War (in 2705:5 and 2705:9). One of two Walls of Heroes has been built at New Ivrea (the other is located at Griffon Keep). The walls are dedicated to fallen heroes and those who have paid a great price to bring freedom to the lands. It is known that there is an entrance to the deeplands from the cellar of the main council building, but this has been fairly well sealed by the wood elf Owen. New Ivrea has one of the Magic
