Clairvoyance potion
This mirrored liquid has a rusty metallic smell.

Powers: This potion grants the effects of the clairvoyance spell (caster level 10) on its imbiber.

Campaign lore: This potion was part of Darkness' horde stolen by the rogues in 2694:4. Tekuna has been saving this potion for a rainy day – she keeps it in her office at the RMA.

Elixir of Life
In 2694:1, the Lords of Rotan team up with some of the Friends of the Land to retrieve some of this miraculous substance from agents of the trickster goddess Lillyos. It is not known if any more of the elixir exists, but since its powers are rumour to include curing of all disease and restoring injured creatures to full health, another dose could be valuable.
Heroism potion

The brown liquid in this vial bubbles violently when anyone touches the container.

Powers: This potion grants the drinker a +2 competence bonus to attacks, saves and skill checks for one hour.

Campaign lore: Damalanthas retrieved this item from Camanthalar's tower early in 2705:7. It has been examined by the University staff and is currently stored at Griffon Keep.

Invisibility potion
This small bottle contain eight doses of invisibility potion.

Powers: Each dose will produce the effects of an invisibility spell (caster level 5) on the drinker. As with the spell, actions involving combat break the effects of the invisibility.

Campaign lore: This potion was recovered from the buried desert city in 2705:9. Euvgeni now has it.

Lich potion
This was one of the potions Souriin purchased in Béray. After extensive research Brovan Shorn was eventually able to determine that this potion is intended for the consumption of someone who is attempting to become a lich. Further research and peripheral reading done by Souriin revealed the following points:
  • To become a lich, a wizard must be able to master even the most powerful magical spells.
  • The process involves the preparation of two components: a magical phylactery and a potion.
  • To become a lich, the wizard will eventually have to drink the potion, enchant the phylactery with some very powerful spells, and then commit suicide, so that his life force enters the phylactery.
  • The final potion has nine ingredients. Five of these have already been combined into this potion. The remaining four still need to be added to complete it.
  • The chances of the potion working are quite small. Failure often results in death.
Campaign lore: This potion is currently on Deathwatch Isle.

Longevity potion
This potion is stored in a plain bottle, hidden by Souriin in an unrecorded location.

Powers: A longevity potion reduces a characters’ age by 1d12 years, restoring youth and vigour. The entire potion must be consumed. Each time such a potion is imbibed, there is a 1% cumulative chance that the effects of all previous potions will be reversed.

Campaign lore: One of these potions was given to Damalanthas as a gift by the ruler of Proxima in 2694:9. It was contained in a small black bottle and clearly labelled. Damalanthas gave the potion to Souriin as part payment for his help in forging the Manticorum blades. Souriin drank the potion in 2697:1.

Some time after 2697, Souriin obtained a second potion. (The story of how Souriin obtained the second potion is told in "Years Lost and Gained".)

Oil of Acid Resistance
This small container is filled with a slick, viscous oil.

Powers: When this oil is applied to skin, cloth, or any other material, it confers virtual invulnerability against acid. The oil wears off, but slowly — one application lasts for a whole day (1440 rounds). Each time the protected material is exposed to acid, the duration of the oil is reduced by as many rounds as hit points of damage the acid would have caused to exposed flesh. Thus, if a black dragon breathes for 64 points of acid damage, a person protected by this oil would lose 1 hour and 4 minutes of protection (64 rounds — 32 if a saving throw vs. breath weapon was successful). This contains sufficient oil to protect one man-sized creature (and equipment) for 24 hours; or to protect any combination of creatures and duration between these extremes.

Campaign lore: Damalanthas retrieved this item from Camanthalar's tower early in 2705:7. It has been examined by the University staff and is currently stored at Griffon Keep.

Oil of Timelessness
This oil is kept in a small black bottle which is clearly labelled.

Powers: When applied to any organic matter, this oil slows cellular decay, allowing the substance to resist the passage of time. Each year affects the substance as if only one day had passed. The coated object also has a +1 resistance bonus to all saves. The oil never wears off, although it can be magically dispelled. The bottle contains enough oil to coat eight man-sized objects or an equivalent area.

Campaign lore: This was one of the seven treasures given out by the ruler of Proxima in 2694:9. Souriin has used some of the oil to treat his Elven Boots, making them resistant to wear and tear.

Remove disease potion
The liquid in this dark green pyramid-shaped vial has a bitter smell.

Powers: This potion replicates the effects of the remove disease spell.

Campaign lore: This potion was recovered from the buried desert city in 2705:9 and is now stored at Griffon Keep.

Sneaking potion
This potion is a peppery liquid.

Powers: When drunk, it provides a +10 bonus to Move Silently checks for one hour.

Campaign lore: This item was recovered from the elven palace in Miris on 2705:11:23. It is currently at Griffon Keep.
