Souriin's Spacial Transferral

Transmutation [Teleportation]
Level: Sor/Wiz 5
Components: V,M
Casting Time: 1 action (see text)
Range: Personal and touch
Target: You and touched objects or other touched willing creatures weighing up to 50 lb./level
Duration: Instantaneous or 1 hour/level (see text)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: Yes

With the use of this spell the caster instantly transports himself along with any willing targets between two carpets or circles inscribed with his arcane mark. The caster can transport a maximum weight of 50 lb./level. Although the casting time for the spell is usually 1 action, the spell can also be pre-cast into the carpet/circle so that within 1 hour/level, it takes the caster only a free action to activate the teleportation. For this use of the spell, the destination is determined when the spell is stored.

The material component is a woven carpet (Craft: weaving DC 20) or an inlaid circle (Craft: metalworking DC 15) of not less than 5,000 gp in value. During each day of the components crafting, the spellcaster place an arcane mark on the object. If a woven carpet is used as the component, there is a 1 in 20 chance that it is destroyed each time the spell is cast. A circle inlaid in stone or metal is never destroyed. It is possible for a character to prepare multiple components, each with a slightly different arcane mark, for use in several locations. One transfer location can be established for each two caster levels of the character.

If the component at the intended destination point has been destroyed, if it is occupied or if it is on a different plane of existence, the spell fails. Unlike the teleport spell there is always 100% chance of safe arrival in the location of the component, even if the mage does not know where the component is located.

Campaign lore: This spell is also known to the famed bard Damalanthas Quithas.
