When this spell is cast, an explosion occurs in front of the target's face. If the target fails his save by four or more, then he is stunned for 1d6 rounds plus one round for each 6 levels of the caster. Otherwise he is struck blind and deaf for 1d4 rounds. A successful save negates any effect on the target.
