The Rotan Merchant Guard was encouraged to form by the RMA’s Trade Planning division, under instruction from Tekuna. It is a loose association of freelance mercenaries who hire their services out as guards for caravans. There is a close working relationship between the Rotan Merchant Alliance and the RMG – on 2705:7:4, the RMA signed a contract for the Rotan Merchant Guard to provide protection to its members. The RMG is housed in the RMA Business Centre in Rotan. The RMG operates routes between Rotan and most Ivrean and neighbouring cities. The most problematic route is the trail to Outreach, which is regularly attacked by bands of gnolls. Recently, there have also been an increasing number of attacks on supply trains plying the North-South route between Rotan and Feroll. |
