Barrel of Pitch
A barrel of pitch used as a missile will cover an area 10 ft in radius with enough pitch to burn for 10 rounds. The pitch must be ignited after it has been spread over the target area. To ensure that it lights quickly, the pitch must be heated before being used in combat. Exposure to burning pitch does 1d6 damage per round. Any flammable substances exposed to burning pitch will also ignite. One barrel of pitch costs 5 gp.

Trolls
When targetted against ranks of marching trolls, each barrel of pitch is sufficient to do an average of 1d6 hp of damage to 4 trolls for 4 rounds, for a total damage of 16d6 per four trolls, as per the following diagram:
