Background
Appearance and equipment
Euvgeni is a large, well-built man with a tendency to stick out like a sore thumb in crowds. His general appearance is often unkempt, but when he wants to be, he is a snazzy dresser and he can command a noble bearing.

Euvgeni is almost always armed and armored. He usually wears an enchanted suit of full plate armor and carries Defender and one of the Skullswords. Over his armor, Euvgeni wears his Cloak of Elvenkind and on his feet, Elven Boots. His hands are protected by Nesgasp's Grasping Gauntlets.

Euvgeni usually carries 2-12 small Outreach diamonds with him. He occasionally exchanges these for coins. They are worth 100-500gp each.

Personality and views
Euvgeni tends to be blunt and forthright, and does not suffer fools lightly. He has a short fuse and is often bad tempered, but he is also an excellent tactician and capable of patience when it is strategic.

The barbarian lord believes in applying the law of the land as the need arises, but he holds no respect for foolish or petty rules. Euvgeni places little value in religion and has been quoted as saying that "Gods should fend for themselves. The humans of Outreach have no time for meddlesome superpowers."

Although those who meet him find it hard to believe that he could fear anything, Euvgeni has a serious phobia of spiders. Euvgeni has a keen interest in war machines. He also speaks a few words of Tel.

Weapons and fighting skills
Euvgeni's usually fights with the best weapon he can get in each hand. He is ambidextrous, and highly skilled in the two-handed style of combat.

His current weapons of choice are Defender and one of the Skullswords. He also carries a mighty composite longbow specially crafted for his strength by his one-time adventuring companion Joranth Bumblefoot.

Even though he is usually armed to the teeth, Euvgeni is also a skilled unarmed fighter. During his adventurous youth, he learned some valuable wrestling skills which he occasionally puts to good use.

Allies and enemies
Euvgeni splits his time between his native land of Outreach and the lands of Ivrea, where he often adventures with the other Lords of Rotan. He gets on reasonably well with most of the other Lords, but has grave concerns about Souriin's current activities, particularly Project Deathwatch. Euvgeni fights well in partnership with the elf-lord Flash, even though the two have very different combat styles.

Euvgeni is a folk-hero amongst the people of Outreach, and even though he clashes frequently with the members of the ruling Council, most of them respect his abilities.

Despite the current truce between the lizardfolk and the nation of Outreach, many people believe Euvgeni stills holds a grudge against his neighbours. He certainly holds a grudge against Dagaronzie, and he desires to rid Outreach of the fearsome dragon.

Titles and awards
Euvgeni seems to collect formal titles almost as a hobby. He has held the following functional titles in Outreach and Rotan: President of Outreach (2689 - 2691), Lord High Justice of Rotan (2694:1 - 2694:4), Leader of Outreach and the Twelve Villages (2694:5 - 2694:9, 2704:4 - 2705:4:18). He currently serves as both Commander-in-Chief (2705:4:16 - present) and Ambassador for Outreach (2705:4:18 - present)

In addition, several honourary titles have been bestowed on the barbarian lord: Guardian of Calorn (2693:4), Protector of the Plains (2693:10), Guardian of Feroll (2693:12), Lord of Rotan (2694:1), Honoured Guest of the Elven Peoples (2702:6), Giver of Names (2705:8:8 in abstentia).

Euvgeni was awarded the Freedom of Outreach City on 2705:4:18, and also holds several business titles. The famous bard Damalanthas once whimsically addressed Euvgeni as Your Majesty (in a letter), and the barbarian has been called the Lion-hearted Smith by the Seers of Silfey.

Goals and quotes
Euvgeni's current goals are to increasing the influence of Outreach through diplomatic ties, to obtain trading rights with city merchants outside the Rotan common markets and to prepare Outreach for the war with the trolls. Oh yes, he also intends to "get that irritating dragon"!

Kyra once referred to him as "the one they call the bear-man". Indeed.

Damalanthas doing rapid risk assestment: "This High Priest of Brador, I think I... <looks at Euvgeni> er... we should go and talk to him".

After Euvgeni agreed to help him find the Sceptre of Mundiree, Joranth said "I am grateful that I can rely on a friend like you and I am proud beyond belief, to call you such!"

Personal History
2671:11:17 Euvgeni born in Outreach to Michael and Marta Maryamitrevnavich.
2686 Euvgeni is sentenced to work as a carpenter for pulling up trees and damaging public property in Outreach.
2689 Euvgeni is framed and then cleared for the murder of the President of Outreach and the illegal sale of diamonds. Later in the year, Euvgeni is made President of Outreach.
2691 After two years as president, Euvgeni relinquishes control of Outreach to his father and goes travelling.
